I love papusas! This place does it so damn well too and it's so good! Me and my friend decided to come one night to get a quick late night snack and Panchita's was opened thankfully. And they open until 2AM too!
I was so amazed by how well the papusas tasted! Honestly, get the Mushroom and Garlic one. That one blew my mind away. It was so cheesy/stringy and the garlic had such a delicious punch that made me quite amazed! Plus, they make their's super duper fresh so you'll get it really hot and fluffy as well. I also ordered the Carne Asada one and that was good too but honestly the Mushroom and Garlic one was the real star.
It's a small store so seating can get limited on the weekends, but you can also order them to-go as well. They even have live musicians performing in there which is pretty cool and enlightening!
Definitely gonna stop by to this place again! I personally feel like if I come here a little tipsy this would be the best place to dine into something fatty and delicious haha. My drunchies would be so satisfied honestly! -

This place makes some damn good pupusas. Yeah it takes a while to get to you, but that's because they're making them fresh. I love the sensory experience - hearing them make the pupusas, the patting and smacking of the masa harina dough, the smells of the masa and oil as it's heated up...you get the picture.
If you're new to the pupusa game, here are some options:
- Loroco is the best!
- I also like the chicken
- if you're vegan, I tried the platanos and black bean and it was very delightful.
I've tried the mushroom and garlic but I think it was too wild for me. I'm pretty basic when it comes to pupusas but that's because you can't beat the classics. -

My friend and I were bonding over our love for plantains when she mentioned how she had tried a plantain empanada before and was so amazed by it. We were near the restaurant where she had tried it, so we spontaneously decided to drop by and get some so I could try! I was very happy to have been introduced to this dessert and will be back again to get it.
Food:
- Empanada de Platano Rellenos con Poleada--$6
The plantain surrounding the warm cinnamon pudding was cooked exactly the way I like my plantains and the reason I fell in love with fried plantains in the first place--caramelized and crispy on the outside, while mushy, soft, and tender on the inside. It was stuffed with a decadent, rich cinnamon pudding that was so creamy and thick.
Tips:
- They made the plantain empanadas to order so they come out piping hot! Eat it right away so you can enjoy it the most. -

A bit of a line which makes sense since the food is so good it's like a 5 minute wait at least, I ordered and found a seat within 8 minutes we had my food brought out to the table. Super good pupusas!

Favorite combo ever: Skylark for a good night and Pachita's Pupusa for a great after night out snack.
I usually always get the Combo 2 which comes with rice, beans and two choice of pupusas. and for $11, that fills me up really well. The wait can sometimes be annoying especially if there is a line of people - it is absolutely worth the line/wait.
The night is when the atmosphere is extra amazing. There would be a mariachi band that sometimes come in to play for those sitting in and eating.
